New York Day 2 : Asian Jewels, Ground Zero, Macy's, Empire State Bldg, Junior's, Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum

It was my second and sadly, last day in New York, and it was then that I realized that a work colleague of mine was right, two days is so not enough. But it's okay. Since I wasn't able to go everywhere, I have a reason to go back. Also, my trip was free. Everything sponsored by my very, very kind Aunt :)
We started our day with brunch at Asian Jewels.

After the delicious meal, my aunt and I headed to Ground Zero.

Honestly, I felt very uncomfortable taking photos because for some people, this is the grave of their loved ones. For some, like me, this is but another tourist spot on their map. So, yeah. My aunt and I took photos anyway.

After giving up on trying to take a decent photo of Liberty, we went for the subway and headed to Macy's. On the way, my aunt saw a street artist who did caricatures and she insisted that I get one made for me.

The sketch was $5 but the frame was 20! It wouldn't be good if you didn't purchase the frame because the charcoal will smudge all over the paper. It would be nice though if she had mention it earlier.
Anyway, Macy's. But we didn't went inside. I wasn't in the mood for shopping. So we took some photos and that's it

Our next stop was the Empire State Building. My aunt asked me if I wanted to go up and I said of course. So she bought me a ticket and I went ahead. We bought the express one, which is more expensive. The ticket agent told us that I'd get to the top in about 20 minutes. Unlike the cheaper one, which will take me around 2 hours. But when I got in, there wasn't much of a line. It looked to me that it didn't matter which kind of ticket we bought. Oh well.

The plan after the Empire State was to watch a Broadway show. I wanted to watch Lion King but when we got there we were too late. Turns out shows play earlier on weekends. My aunt was more disappointed than I was.

We then decided to pig out at Junior's, which was just nearby.

Our last destination was Madam Tussaud but when we got there, it was already closed. So we went to Ripley's Believe it or Not musuem instead.

The museum would've been fun with companions. Taking selfies is too lonely. Ha ha! I met with my aunt then we went home.
And that concludes my trip to NY. I came to NY, exhausted from work and I left NY, exhausted from all the sightseeing.Everything felt sort of like being in a trance. Hoping I'll be able to come back for the places I wasn't able to go to.
This NY trip is all thanks to my very, very generous aunt. She shouldered everything. Food, tickets, everything. I hope to repay her kindness in the future. Thanks Tita!
